LONDON (UK) – England’s coronavirus death toll in hospitals rose by 765 to 7,248, according to the health service said on Thursday.
Of the 765 patients who died, 43 of them between the ages of 33 and 99 had no known underlying health conditions.
As of 1600 GMT on April 7, the UK’s hospital coronavirus death toll was 7,097. Those numbers only reflect the deaths from COVID-19 in hospitals and the true toll is believed to be much higher due to deaths not inside hospitals.
British scientists who advise the government stated that the country would be doing well if the total death toll was below 20,000.
