LONDON (UK) – The first face-to-face cabinet meeting of top ministers was held by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson since March 17 on Tuesday. It encouraged others to go back to work and embolden an economy hurt by the coronavirus crisis.
Johnson, his health minister and other top officials all had tested positive with the virus early in the pandemic.
However, in recent weeks, Johnson has urged people to return to their workplaces, raising concerns that the economy could be crushed over the long term triggered by a lockdown.
Ministers were asked to maintain social distance in a larger room inside the foreign office rather than the traditional cabinet room in Downing Street, and were provided hand sanitiser and individual bottles of water.
