BEIJING – Volkswagen has set back the restart of the production of its China plants in venture with SAIC Motor and the Tianjin plant in its JV with FAW Group to the 17th of February in the midst of the coronavirus epidemic.
One of the plants that Volkswagen operates with SAIC in Shanghai and the FAW JV plans will restart only on the 10th of February, according to the German automaker.
Volkswagen was facing challenges with its supply chain as China went back to work after the extended Lunar New Year holiday.
