BANGKOK (THAILAND) – Thai authorities said on Saturday that there are 110 new coronavirus cases in the country of which 64 are local transmissions linked to an outbreak in the southwest province of Samut Sakhon. It is the worst outbreak in the nation so far.
Out of the new cases, 30 are migrant workers and 16 came from overseas, said Taweesin Wisanuyothin, a spokesman for the COVID-19 task force, during a press briefing.
So far, the Asian nation has clocked 6,020 confirmed cases and witnessed 60 fatalities.
