LONDON (UK) – Keir Starmer, head of the UK’s opposition Labour Party, said on Friday that a probe into the government’s handling of the pandemic crisis was bound to take place.
“I think an inquiry is inevitable,” the Labour leader told Sky News. “There will be an inquiry in due course.”
“At the moment, I think it is important that we focus on the job in hand,” Starmer said.
When asked about his rating of how the government handled the crisis, Starmer said: “Too slow, asleep at the wheel and they really need to up their game.”
He said Boris Johnson was good at rhetoric but poor when it came to governance.
