Mainland China records 13 new COVID-19 cases

SHANGHAI (CHINA) – China recorded 13 new coronavirus cases in the mainland for October 17, the health commission said on Sunday.

A statement by the National Health Commission said that all of the new infections were imported.

China reported 34 new asymptomatic patients, compared with 11 a day earlier.

Mainland China had 85,672 confirmed coronavirus cases, as of Saturday, the health authority said. The COVID-19 death toll is now at 4,634.
