DUBAI (Middle East) – India agreed to send through hydroxychloroquine tablets to the UAE for the treatment of COVID-19 patients, according to the Gulf Arab state’s embassy in New Delhi.
Last month, India put a ban on exports after sales soared to secure supplies as U.S. President Donald Trump labelled hydroxychloroquine as a potentially effective treatment for coronavirus.
India would, this month, send supplies to some countries.
“The first shipment of medicine, currently on its way to the UAE, includes 5.5 million pills for treatment of patients with COVID-19.”
