AMSTERDAM – On Monday, Nike announced the closure of its European Headquarters in the Netherlands till Wednesday after an employee was diagnosed with the coronavirus infection.
“We are aware of an employee coronavirus (COVID-19) case. Out of an abundance of caution, we are conducting a deep cleaning of the (European headquarters) campus.”

Since February 27th, 18 cases of coronavirus infections have been reported by Dutch authorities.
The Nike Hilversum facility housed over 2,000 employees from 80 countries and is going to be disinfected.
The sportswear giant’s global headquarters in Oregon, U.S. were closed last weekend for cleaning due to a suspected case of the suspected coronavirus.
