BEIJING (CHINA) – The Chinese national health authority said on Saturday that there were as many as 33 new coronavirus cases on Oct. 30, up from 25 a day earlier.
Of the new infections, 27 were imported cases, said the commission in a statement, adding that six were reported in Xinjiang province.
There were also 38 new asymptomatic cases, down from 53 a day earlier. However, the authorities do not count such cases as COVID-19 infections.
The tally of infections in the mainland stands at 85,973 while the fatalities remain at 4,634.
