West Bank witnesses snowfall for first time in several years following rare winter storm
RAMALLAH (WEST BANK) – For the first time in several years, the Biblical cities of Hebron and Bethlehem were covered with snow on Thursday after a rare storm in winter.
Families could be seen building snowmen on the nearly deserted streets in the occupied West Bank. Many children were seeing snowfall for the first time in their lives.
A few cars could be seen trying to navigate through the thick fog and icy roads on the streets of Bethlehem in the backdrop of the snow-capped bell tower of the Church of the Nativity.
In Gaza and in the West Bank, schools and offices were closed.
