LONDON – British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that those who opposed usage of Huawei equipment for UK’s new 5G networks must suggest alternative technology which can be used.
On Monday, U.S. officials presented the UK government with new evidence branding it “madness” to use Huawei equipment for their 5G technology.
Johnson believes that the British public deserve access to the best possible technology and if one brand is opposed then an alternative must be suggested too.
He went on to clarify that he did not want to be the British Prime Minister to put in place infrastructure that compromises national security or an ability to cooperate with five-eyes intelligence partners.
