WASHINGTON – Officials under the Trump administration have postponed the meeting set for Wednesday to discuss its restrictions on technology sales to China and Huawei for a second time.
Set initially for February 28th, the cabinet-level meeting had been put off. Wilbur Ross, Mark Esper, Mike Pompeo and Steve Mnuchin are expected to be in attendance for the meeting.
On the agenda for the meeting are ways to expand the U.S. authority to halt foreign shipments of technology to Huawei Technologies.
The changes are designed to look into some of the frustration which Huawei’s placement on U.S. trade blacklist from May and how it still failed to cut off supplies.
