TOKYO (JAPAN) – The nation’s capital recorded as many as 472 coronavirus cases on Saturday, setting a new record, said the NHK quoting city officials.
It is for the second consecutive day that the capital is witnessing cases rising by more than 400.
Though Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike has said the city could declare its own state of emergency, the government said there was no need to do so at the national level despite the record surge in the number of cases in several cities
