PARIS (FRANCE) – France is likely to propose that workspaces should have people wearing masks. The country is struggling with coronavirus cases that rose to over 3,000.
The health ministry reported 3,310 new coronavirus infections.
This had prompted Britain to implement a 14-day quarantine for people coming from France.
Employment Minister Elisabeth Borne said she would participate in talks with employer and union representatives to convey the message that masks be compulsory in collective workspaces.
Borne said in an interview, “A theme that appears in all scientific opinions is the value of wearing them (masks) when there are several people in a confined space.”
The seven-day average of new infections has gone above 2,000 for the first time since April.
