SAN SALVADOR (World) – Nayib Bukele, Salvadoran President, announced tougher measures to curb coronavirus spread and these include limiting shopping trips to twice a week.
The new measures shall be taking effect for 15 days starting Thursday in El Salvador. The country has recorded 587 infections and 14 deaths from coronavirus and already had the strictest curbs in the region.
Shopping trips shall be regulated based on the numbers on people’s identity documents and they can no longer be permitted to cross municipal boundaries, even for the purchase of food or medicine.
