MOSCOW (RUSSIA) – President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that Russia would increase its support for rebel-controlled eastern Donbass region in Ukraine where there was a conflict in 2014 between pro-Moscow rebels and government troops.
In his annual news conference, Putin said Russia would extend help to the region to upgrade its factories, infrastructure and support it to meet the social needs of local people, whom he said faced challenges.
