LONDON – On Thursday, Prince Harry will be making his first appearance in public since Queen Elizabeth accepted the couple’s wishes to take a step back from their senior roles in the royal family while seeking for a more financially independent future in North America.
Prince Harry, sixth-in-line to the throne, will be in the Buckingham Palace hosting draws for next year’s Rugby League World Cup. This is his last scheduled engagement prior to Harry and Meghan’s entry into a transition into their new roles.
The couple wants to carve out a “progressive” new role and intend on funding themselves. So far, they were not allowed to seek out private income and their funds come from Harry’s father’s private estate.
The glamorous couple has been under constant media scrutiny and Harry likened their treatment of Meghan to “bullying” as was done to his mother Princess Diana before her death in 1997.
