LONDON (UK) – The Conservative government’s “excellent” Internal Markets Bill will ensure that trade between Northern Ireland and the rest of the country remains unfettered, said Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Wednesday.
“We have the excellent UK Internal Market Bill to prevent such barriers from arising,” Johnson told lawmakers when asked if he would “hold firm” against the EU to prevent any barriers to trade in the Irish Sea after a status-quo transition arrangement comes to an end by the end of this year.
