The networking service renovates its structure to provide business professionals with positivity and guidance
MANCHESTER, U.K. – The Curry Club, an established networking service, is helping business professionals in Greater London stay connected and informed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The organization provides free entrance to all online events and gives people the opportunity to make connections and generate leads from their home or office. The new website encourages members to join their regional curry club group so that people can directly network with those closest to them.
When the United Kingdom was struck down with the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, the Curry Club knew the world of networking was in for a change. With the restrictions on physical social interaction, meeting face-to-face every month in Indian restaurants was out of the question. Thankfully there are services like Zoom that offer online meetings.
The new online Curry Club was born out of the pandemic. Steve Kettle, the founder of the Curry Club, said, “Helping our clients with free business advice from our panel of experts is a great way of helping our communities to get through this crisis.” With many businesses closed, a panel of experts was recruited to provide free advice for the members at the online events. The experts are from a wide range of sectors including property, banking, insolvency, HR, accounting, financial, and legal.
Building business relations is personal as well as professional and the Curry Club recognizes the increased need for human connections as people are unable to leave their homes. The expert panel includes several creditable banking and finance experts but also Vivek Singh, a nutritionist, and founder of The Cinnamon Club, and Susan Kench, an experienced LinkedIn coach. These experts are here to make the members of the Curry Club well cared for and looked after personally, not only their business. Their concerns are the Curry Club’s concerns and the organization is focused on relieving any stress COVID-19 has on those whose businesses have taken a hit.
The Curry Club was established thirty-eight years ago by three Mancunian banking professionals who decided that a monthly networking event with peers over a curry and a beer was an excellent idea, fostering a relaxed approach to business networking. Now that the Curry Club is online, there are eight Curry Clubs running online every two weeks during the midday with plans to open more over the next twelve months.
