LONDON – British Nationwide Building Society to open up a few branches early for their elderly and more vulnerable customers during the outbreak of coronavirus.
Nationwide shall be opening 100 branches from 0800 and not 0900 GMT for customers at or above the age of 70 or those with underlying health conditions, with the option of expanding the trial to its 650-outlet network, if it works.
The move comes as Britain mulls over the enforcement of self-isolation on those aged 70 or over to protect those more vulnerable to the virus.
