NEW YORK (US) – Billionaire entrepreneur and head of Tesla Elon Musk announced on Twitter on Thursday a $100 million prize for the development of the “best” technology to capture carbon dioxide emissions.
In a bid to keep climate change in check, capturing emissions is of prime importance. But very little progress has been made on the technology till date.
“Am donating $100M towards a prize for best carbon capture technology,” Musk said in a tweet, followed by another one in which he wrote “Details next week.”
