Johannesburg: Mohammed Dangor, owner of Speedy Car Sales in Klerksdorp South Africa has been shot dead this afternoon, following an argument with a client. Two other employees were wounded. The gunman has handed himself over to the police.
Mohammed had just taken over the reins of the company from his father, the founder and CEO of Speedy Car Sales, Farouk Dangor who retired recently on turning 64.
“Witness reports state that the shooter entered the building where he started arguing with the deceased. He took out his firearm and started shooting. Two people were wounded in the attack,’’ Captain Aafje Botma told British Herald
Popular Islamic cleric, Mufti Menk, who is a good friend to Dangor making the announcement of the sad news via his Instagram handle wrote “Mohammed was a kind soul, an excellent human being, a great brother, a philanthropist, a family man and much more.”
The police are investigating murder, and two charges of attempted murder.
Speedy car sales in Klerksdorp is one of South Africa’s most respected and successful luxury car dealerships. Owned by Farouk Dangor, the dealership has a long history of selling high-end vehicles and rare cars to clientele from all over South Africa.
