Minsk warns Brussels against inviting Lukashenko rival to meeting
MOSCOW (RUSSIA) – Belarusian foreign ministry said on Saturday that the possible participation of opposition politician Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya in an EU ministerial meeting would be seen as the bloc’s interference in domestic affairs.
Tsikhanouskaya has challenged the 26-year-rule of President Alexander Lukashenko.
The foreign ministry announced that it had conveyed its stance to all European envoys.
Earlier, there were reports from Russian state news agencies that she would attend the meeting of foreign ministers of the bloc.
