Mainland China records 13 new coronavirus infections
SHANGHAI (CHINA) – The Chinese health authority said on Saturday that as many as 13 new coronavirus cases were reported in the mainland on Oct. 16, compared with 24 cases a day earlier.
A statement from the National Health Commission said all the new infections were imported.
There were also 11 new asymptomatic patients, compared with 10 a day earlier.
Mainland China had 85,659 confirmed coronavirus cases as of Friday, said the health authority. The COVID-19 fatality toll stands at 4,634.
