London Zoo’s great cats celebrate World Lion Day with frosty delights
LONDON (UK) – With the mercury level rising in the capital, the Asiatic lion pride at ZSL London Zoo got a cool treat on Friday.
Keepers hung iced meat lollies from a custom-made seesaw for the lions. The contraption was designed in such a way to enable the big cats to use their strength and skills to get the frozen delights.
Sensing the scent of the lollies, the three lionesses in the enclosure went to the seesaw and used it to access the treat, which they enjoyed with gusto. The majestic felines were given the icy surprise ahead of World Lion Day, which is observed on August 10.
