NEW YORK (US) – James Murdoch, son of media mogul Rupert Murdoch, has stepped down from News Corp’s board, citing differences of opinion over certain editorial content published by the firm’s media outlets.
While putting in his papers, Murdoch also cited differences over certain strategic decisions of the firms.
With his exit, the company’s board will be left with 10 directors.
The owner of Wall Street Journal in May had posted a $1 billion quarterly loss because of a writedown in the value of its Australian pay TV unit and the impact of pandemic.
