NEW DELHI (INDIA) – The decision of the Indian government to keep a ban on 59 Chinese applications violated the World Trade Organization’s fair regulations regarding business and would hurt firms, said China.
The ban was enforced last year when tensions between both nations escalated following a border dispute. This month, the Indian government decided to allow the ban on TikTok and other apps to remain.
“We urge the Indian side to immediately correct its discriminatory measures and avoid causing further damage to bilateral cooperation,” said Chinese embassy spokesperson Ji Rong.
