Hungary’s border with Serbia partially reopened for local citizens
BUDAPEST (Europe) – Hungary’s southern border has been opened for Serbian and Hungarian starting Monday morning, according to Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto.
Hungary reciprocated to a similar measure taken by Serbia earlier on Friday with the coronavirus pandemic under control in both countries, allowing the ease of restrictions.
This comes not long after a gradual reopening of Hungary’s other borders allowing some movement without a full lift of restrictions.
3,756 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Hungary with 491 deaths.
