LONDON (UK) – The BBC has said that the government is slated to announce on Monday a regional approach to travel corridors. It means that travellers from areas of countries less affected by the pandemic will not be asked to undergo quarantine.
Transport minister Grant Shapps is expected to address lawmakers at around 1430 GMT.
Spain, which usually witnesses the arrival of a large number of British visitors, has urged the UK to adopt more flexible travel regulations so that tourists visiting areas such as the Balearic Islands, where there are less number of cases, do not have to undergo quarantine when they return.
