On Wednesday, CNN announced that former Democratic presidential contender Andrew Yang shall be joining them in the position of a political commentator.
Yang is an entrepreneur who ended his campaign last week after finishing eighth on the New Hampshire primary election.
He shall be appearing on CNN on Wednesday offering insight and analysis of Democratic debate. Six of the eight candidates have qualified for the debate which shall be taking place in Las Vegas, to air on NBC and MSNBC.
Yang’s campaign saw a lot of enthusiasm from grassroots supporters also known as “Yang Gang”.
Yang’s signature policy proposal was the Freedom Dividend which is a basic universal income giving every American an amount of $1,000 every month.
Yang believes that this basic income to eradicate poverty and reduce inequality along with tackling student debt and counteract automation effects which pose threats to working-class American’s jobs.
