Fire breaks out at industrial area, says Iran state TV

DUBAI (UAE) – Iran’s state television reported on Tuesday that a fire broke out at an industrial area near Tehran. It is the latest in a series of fires and blasts at some sensitive sites.

“The fire broke out at the industrial area of the Jajrud district in the Pardis county this morning … there were no casualties … firefighters are trying to contain the fire,” it said.

According to a fire department official, the exact cause of the blaze is still being probed.

Last month, there was a blaze at the underground Natanz nuclear facility causing significant damage.

A blast at a clinic north of the capital last month left 19 dead. Officials blamed gas leak for the explosion.

On June 26, a blast rocked the Parchin military and weapons development base east of the capital and authorities said was caused by a leak in a gas storage facility.
