ISTANBUL – On Wednesday, Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdogan said the new detention warrant issued for Osman Kavala must be respected.
Philanthropist Osman Kavala was acquitted a day earlier for his role in the 2013 nationwide protests.
Erdogan addressed reporters after his speech to the AK Party’s lawmakers. During the speech, he described the protests in Gezi park a “heinous attack” on the country.
