TEL AVIV (Middle East) – Defence contractor Elbit Systems in Israel won a contract worth about $103 million for the supply of electronic warfare (EW) suites for air force of an Asian country.
The contract is to be carried out over a period of three years and includes long-term integrated logistic support. The name of the Asian country was not revealed.
Elbit Systems will fit the helicopters with complete EW suites, including countermeasure systems.
“Demand for combat-proven EW systems is getting stronger as the electro-magnetic spectrum becomes increasingly contested and the threat to aircraft gets more acute.”
– Edgar Maimon, general manager of Elbit Systems EW
