LONDON – On Tuesday, British foreign minister Dominic Raab will be visiting Turkey in a show of support for their efforts to ending a lasting ceasefire in Syria.
In Northwest Syria, fights have escalated to a great extent and Turkey has sent out thousands of troops and vehicles to counter the government forces in Syria from advancing.
Raab’s first official Gulf visit began on Monday.
“Turkey is on the frontline of some of the most difficult and serious challenges we face with the Syrian regime and Russian forces continuing to escalate the violence on its border. We have been clear in our condemnation of the Syrian regime’s actions in Idlib and we will continue to raise concerns about its flagrant violations of international law.”
