China in trade talks with US on WeChat, TikTok: Bloomberg
BEIJING (CHINA) – The implementation of the phase one trade deal will be discussed by trade negotiators from the United States and China. The latter is likely to talk about issues with regard to video-sharing app TikTok and messaging app WeChat, Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday.
Last week, US President Donald Trump introduced bans on US transactions with the China-based owners of WeChat and TikTok.
This comes a day after White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow said that even as tensions between the two countries over Hong Kong, the handling of the coronavirus outbreak, data security and trade tariffs, the US-China trade deal was in “fine” shape.
