NEW YORK (US) – Twitter Inc said on Thursday its social networking site was down for many users. This was found due to a change it had made to its internal systems. However, the platform seemed to return to normal after about an hour and half of outage.
The company said that the site should start working for everyone within the next few hours. No evidence of a security breach or a hack was found.
According to outage tracking website Downdetector.com, more than 55,000 users were facing issues with Twitter.
In July, Twitter had reported a breach, where hackers had accessed its internal systems to get to some of the platform’s top voices, including US presidential candidate Joe Biden and reality TV star Kim Kardashian, which was used to solicit digital currency.
