British Gas owner Centrica expects tough trading conditions in first half
(Reuters) – Britain’s largest energy supplier Centrica Plc said on Monday it is facing a challenging trading environment due to a national price cap on energy bills, warmer-than-normal weather and falling UK natural gas prices.
The company, whose British Gas unit is Britain’s largest energy supplier, said these factors would impact financial performance in the first half of 2019 and further pressure full-year outlook.
However, Centrica maintained its full-year outlook for operating cash flow and net debt.
