ROME (ITALY) – A car accident on Tuesday night has landed AS Roma director Morgan De Sanctis in intensive care.
De Sanctis, 43, was rushed to hospital after a serious accident on the busy Via Cristoforo Colombo, said local media. He is the former goalie of Italy.
During a surgery on an abdominal haemorrhage, his spleen had to be removed.
As per media reports, he is conscious and is in a stable condition after surgery.
He has played for Udinese, Napoli and Roma and returned to the capital club in a backroom role three years ago following his retirement.
