BANGKOK – On Sunday, Thailand’s Advanced Info Service (AIS) Plc for 5G for 23 spectrum licenses while True Pcl won 17, according to the country’s telecoms regulator.
The telecoms regulator raise more than 100 billion baht for 48 5G service licences ahead of an expected commercial rollout towards the later half of the year.
Two licences were also won by Total Access Communication Pcl or DTAC. State-run operators, CAT Telecom and TOT won 2 and 4 licences respectively.
