Airbus CEO Faury seeks transatlantic trade war truce

PARIS (FRANCE) – European aircraft manufacturer Airbus’s CEO has sought a ceasefire in what is seen as a trade face-off with the US over aircraft subsidies. This has led to billions of dollars in tit-for-tat tariffs on airplanes and other merchandise.

In an interview on France Inter radio, Chief Executive Guillaume Faury also urged European nations to ease border restrictions that have crippled air travel across the continent during the coronavirus crisis.
