Pyongyang displays new intercontinental ballistic missiles at military parade

SEOUL (SOUTH KOREA) – At a predawn military parade on Saturday, North Korea unveiled intercontinental ballistic missiles, showcasing the country’s long-range weapons for the first time in two years.

The missiles were mounted on a transporter vehicle with 11 axles and they are one of the largest road-mobile intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs), say analysts.

“This missile is a monster,” said Melissa Hanham, deputy director of the Open Nuclear Network.

During the military parade the Hwasong-15, which is the longest-range missile ever tested by North Korea, was also displayed. It can be launched from submarines.
