HONG KONG – Authorities of Disneyland in Hong Kong said on Tuesday that the theme park will begin welcoming visitors from Friday. However, their number will be restricted and there will be limits on the number of days the park remains open. The surge in coronavirus infections forced authorities to close the park in mid July.
City authorities lifted more curbs last week by reopening theme parks. This comes after testing nearly two million residents in a programme initiated by the Chinese government and 42 cases were found.
Disneyland authorities said visitors have to wear face masks and the park will remain closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the time being. There won’t be any indoor live performances either.
