(Technology) – Alphabet’s Google banned the Zoom video conferencing application from the laptops of employees due to security concerns.
“Recently, our security team informed employees using Zoom Desktop Client that it will no longer run on corporate computers as it does not meet our security standards for apps used by our employees.”

Zoom will still be allowed by Google through mobile apps and browsers.
Zoom Video Communications is facing a user backlash citing concerns about the lack of end-to-end encryption of its meeting sessions and “zoombombing”, wherein uninvited guests crash into meetings.
Zoom shares were up about 1.5% at $115.
