Cannes(France)- The princess diaries actress is the new princess of the red carpet at Cannes. Anne Hathaway, The 39-year-old actress who attended the Cannes Film Festival to premiere her latest period drama, Armageddon Time. Her debut at Cannes was already making statements with her fashion on the red carpet. 

At Cannes, for the debut of her new film, Anne proved her fashion chops with a Gucci dress. That harked back to the 1960s mod era. Dazzling in the black and blue mini with a bustier top and resplendent with black sequins. She matched the show-stopping fit with silver T-bar heels with bow detailing.

She wore a two-piece sequin Armani Privé gown with voluminous sleeves attached to a train. And Bulgari gems and Santoni shoes on the first day of the premiere.

She Said;

“You hire [stylist] Erin Walsh, and you trust her,” Hathaway tells PEOPLE of the secret to the perfect Cannes wardrobe. “You know, I’ve never been to Cannes, and I’ve been watching the fashion of the film festival unfold for a couple of decades now. And I’ve noticed certain things you can never go wrong with.”

And I noticed that many of my favourite actresses had their first experience wearing all white. “So that was what I did ‘, continued the Academy Award winner.

Heading to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote her new series, WeCrashed, Hathaway looked vibrant. She wore a rainbow ensemble from Christopher John Rogers — the Louisiana-born designer whom celebrities can’t get enough of. 

The look, which featured a striking green, red, purple and orange shades, was made of a structured bustier top, palazzo pants and a coordinating blazer. Hathaway finalized her look with a turquoise La Medusa Mini Bag by Versace. 

Many stars go the maximalist while debuting their red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. Anne Hathaway took the approach. Her ensemble is not just winning the fashion police but also warmed the hearts of her fans—especially those who have watched her movie Princess Diaries.
