London (UK) – Just over a week after testing positive for COVID-19 and following the cancellation of other similar engagements last week, Queen Elizabeth felt healthy enough to hold two virtual audiences on Tuesday.
The 95-year-old British monarch has been properly vaccinated against coronavirus and had previously been reported to be suffering from minor cold-like symptoms. She continued with light duties after testing positive, despite having to cancel certain events.
On Tuesday the palace said she spoke with incoming ambassadors from Andorra and Chad. Last week she spoke to Prime Minister Boris Johnson by telephone.
Buckingham Palace has said it would not give a running commentary on the condition of Elizabeth, who last month celebrated her 70th anniversary of becoming queen.
