LONDON (UK) – The Times newspaper has reported that Scotland will enter another national lockdown on Monday, which is likely to extend until spring.
Scottish first minister Nicola Sturgeon said earlier the cabinet would convene a meeting on Monday to discuss the next steps to stem the spread of the virus and she also ordered the recalling of the Scottish parliament.
Reopening of schools is likely to be extended beyond January 18, said the newspaper report.
On Sunday, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that there would be tougher lockdown curbs as the number of coronavirus cases is on the rise.
