MUMBAI (INDIA) – According to data released by the Indian federal health ministry on Saturday, the coronavirus caseload was 8.1 million and 48,268 new infections were recorded over the past 24 hours.
The country has the world’s second-highest number of infections trailing the US. However, infections have shown a dip since September.
The number of fatalities went up by 551, taking the total number of deaths to 121,641, showed the data of the health ministry.
