Tributes are pouring in for Maddy Cusack , a 27-year-old Sheffield United footballer who has passed away. Cusack had been a member of the women’s team since 2019 and had accumulated over 100 appearances for the club. Additionally, she worked as a marketing executive for Sheffield United. The exact cause of her death has not been disclosed.

Maddy Cusack had the distinction of becoming the first player to reach 100 appearances for Sheffield United. She had been with the club since she transitioned from the Sheffield United Community Foundation in 2021 and was embarking on her sixth season.
