Interest of Manchester United in Harry Kane could be reignited . After receiving information that the club’s majority owner, Joe Lewis, has instructed Tottenham’s chairman, Daniel Levy, to prevent the striker Harry Kane from running down his contract and leaving on a free transfer next year, Manchester United could reignite their interest in him.

Kane, will turn 30 on Friday He is now in the final year of his six-year contract with Spurs .He has garnered interest from several top clubs. Bayern Munich is being one of the most prominent suitors. Bayern made two unsuccessful bids for the player, however , Levy remains firm in his stance that Kane is not for sale. In addition , he expressed his determination to retain the striker. This will be by offering him a substantial new contract.

Understoodly, Lewis has informed Levy that if they do not sign that contract, they must sell Kane this summer. Many widely believe he could fetch up to £100m.Bayern’s latest offer was £70m plus add‑ons.

Manchester United targeted Harry Kane as their top summer target. This is before the club decided to give up on trying to sign him due to the hassle of dealing with Levy. Trafford officials are now pondering a fresh move. This is with a potential £100m fee not necessarily a stumbling block. But Kane’s salary demands, estimated to be in the neighbourhood of £30 million annually, could be.

United are considering not to break their wage structure. This is however , due to concerns regarding how that could be counterproductive to the team spirit Erik ten Hag has fostered at the club since taking over as manager last year. The Dutchman appears to have already switched focus. It is in regards to signing a new centre-forward, with Atalanta’s Rasmus Højlund a firm target.
