Roma band Parno Graszt gave an energetic performance at Expo 2020 Dubai’s Jubilee Stage on Sunday evening.

Singing in English and Romany – sometimes simultaneously – the eight-piece ensemble, consisting of members of one family, delighted the audience with their lively show.

Founded in 1987, Parno Graszt (which means “white horse” in the Romany language) are a Roma music ensemble from Paszab, Hungary.

Their debut album Hit the Piano reached Number 7 on the World Music Chart Europe in October 2002, and the ensemble was voted in the top 10 for “Best Artist of the Year,” 2005, by Swiss music magazine Vibrations following the release of their second album, Járom az utam (2004).

In 2016, they competed in Hungary’s annual music competition A Dal, and represented their country in the Eurovision Song Contest final, with the song Már nem szédülök.
